Journal History

Communications in Physics, (ISSN 0886 - 3166 (print), e-ISSN 2815-5947 (online)) was founded by  Vietnam Institute of Science (the former name of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) in 1976. 

The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is a Vietnam government agency,  performing the function of basic research on natural sciences and technology development; providing scientific arguments for scientific and technology management and formulate policies, strategies, socio-economic development planning; training highly qualified human resources  for science and technology in accordance with Vietnam laws.

The journal was established to publish physics research results conducted in Vietnam,  the Asia Pacific region and by their worldwide collaboration.

From 1976 to 1990, the journal had published issues in Vietnamese with the abstracts written in English, French or Russian.

Since 1991, all issues of Communications in Physics  have been published in English.

Since 2010, all issues of Communications in Physics   have been open access. 

Since 2016, all manuscripts have been  submitted online via the journal online  system:  https://vjs.ac.vn/index.php/cip.
