Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is spaced 1.5 lines; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

BRIEF GUIDE TO MANUSCRIPT WRITING AND SUBMISSION

1. Vietnam Journal of Biotechnology (Vietnam J. Biotechnol.), formerly: Tạp chí Công nghệ Sinh học – Journal of Biotechnology, publishes original research papers, review or minireview articles and short communications in all aspects of biotechnology and related fields.

2. Manuscript is prepared by a word processing software according to the detailed Instruction for authors available on the Journal website. A research paper must not exceed 15 printed pages, a review or minireview article must not exceed 20 or 10 printed pages, respectively, and a short communication is no more than 5 printed pages. Illustrations are divided into two types: Figures and Tables, which must be clearly, scientifically and logically presented with appropriate legends.

3. Manuscript mush be written in English and with an Abstract of 250-300 words reflecting the main information published.

4. References must be correctly listed in according to the Instruction for authors.

5. Manuscript is submitted online via the Journal website.

6. Journal does not consider any manuscript incorrectly submitted as requested above.
