Journal History

The journal originally started in 1979 and was named in Vietnamese “Tạp chí Cơ học” which means “Journal of Mechanics.” In 1998 the journal name was translated into English to “Vietnam Journal of Mechanics”, and this name has not been changed since 1998.

OBITUARY OF PROF. NGUYEN QUOC SON

It is with great sadness that we have just learned of the death of Nguyen Quoc Son, a professor emeritus and researcher at Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Vietnam Journal of Mechanics, at the age of 77.
