A user may "tag" pictures or text files with keywords that are relevant to their content. Later on, these files may be searched using keywords, which can make finding files much easier. For example, authors may tag text files or picture subjects with keywords that relevant to their content, such as ‘lanscape’, ‘habitat’, ‘plant resource’, ‘pollens’, ‘pollination’, etc., they themselves or readers can later locate all files or pictures by simply searching for one of the above mentioned keywords.

What is the meaning of keywords?

When you are searching for information online, it helps to know what words will occur in an article on that subject. If you type the keyword into your search, you will get a file, such as a magazine article online, that has information on your topic of interest. Remember that the more specific keywords you use, the more specific (and useful) the results will be.
Academia Journal of Biology 2012-12-15
