Abstract

Bung Binh Thien belongs to the An Phu district, An Giang province, there were 111 fish species belonging to 27 families in 10 orders. Of the total species collected, there were 44 species of Cypriniformes or 44.39%; the order Siluriformes comprised 29 species or 26.23%; the order Perciformes 19 species or 19.17%; the order Synbranchiformes 7 species or 7.60%; the other orders comprise fewer numbers of species or percentage of total. There are 6 threatened species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam, 2007, and Red list of IUCN. The model fishery co-management at Bung Binh Thien wetland area seemed to respond to climate change and development of fish resources.
