It is found that the spinunpolarized ZZ-PGNR behaves as metal. However, the spin-polarized ZZ-PGNRs show to be the magnetic semiconductor properties. More importantly, for the ZZ-PGNRs based device, the spin-filtering effect occurs strongly near Fermi level.
