A study on isolating the endosymbiotic fungi from the roots of Taxus wallichiana Zucc in Lac Duong, Lam Dong province and surveying the suitable medium for the researched fungi

This research focused on the mycorrhizal fungi (arbuscular mycorrhizae) which can synthetize taxol. Those fungi were isolated from Taxus wallichiana Zucc that grows in the natural forest in Lac Duong, Lam Dong province. According to the research, Fusarium oxysporum is mostly presented as endosymbiotic fungus (arbuscular mycorrhizae). The result showed that Fusarium oxysporum grew well on modified MMN medium supplemented with vitamin B1 (0.05 mg), KH2PO4 (0,9 g), NH­4 ­(0.15 g), FeCl3 1% (1.8 mL); the received dried biomass was 10.85 g/l medium after 30 days of culture. Moreover, this fungus also developed very well on PDB medium supplemented with vitamin B1 of 0.1 g/l medium; the received dried biomass was 9.71 g/l medium after 16 days of culture. The received taxol was 250.98 mg/kg dried biomass.
